
This role will be based in the Philippines (Makati City). This role is open to Filipino nationals and those having a work permit for the Philippines. What you do as a Project Director - Maritime Infrastructure
The Project Director (Maritime Infrastructure) sets strategic direction for and is the custodian of our knowledge, skills and expertise (knowledge management), adds value with the business unit through collaboration in thought leadership and innovation, and technical development. To expound on this further:
Knowledge Management
- To develop priority market sector and discipline knowledge groups to remain state-of-the art and promote thought leadership and technical development
- To delegate to knowledge managers, but retain overall responsibility of knowledge management in sectors and disciplines in areas of present and future value for the company
- To facilitate open collaboration between business lines and geographies involving staff, experts and leading professionals in discussion fora
- To promote cross-business line and transnational knowledge management including brokering
- To secure knowledge and best practise sharing using available systems and tools
Thought Leadership, Innovation, and Sustainability
- To stimulate innovation within and across business lines and regions in areas of present and future value for the company
- To ensure that the development of innovation is appropriately structured and controlled in an effective manner with the focus on commercialisation of innovation
- To identify trends and potential disruptive technologies and opportunities
- To develop appropriate links with academic institutions
- To encourage profiling especially on leading services
- To support excellence and improvement of project management delivery
- To grow the Philippine team together with the associate director for Maritime in the Philippines
Technical Development
- To review consistency of technical quality of deliverables
- To champion and share best practise and lessons learned within the business unit and in the Asia Pacific region
- To identify areas for improvement in the efficiency of (design) processes
- To identify technical skills and training needs and guide or support development of capabilities in response to changing markets and expected market conditions
- To liaise with the business development directors and business developers on market trends and opportunities
- To be able to win more maritime projects for the Philippines and able to manage some projects

What you bring
Requirements:
- bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (master’s degree in Civil Engineering is a nice to have)
- has experience with an international engineering consultancy firm (offshore wind experience is a nice to have)
- experience with leading/managing maritime projects and winning new maritime projects
- has experience in growing the team and managing people
- experience with working transnationally
- has handled projects that amount to more than 5 million euro
- high level of technical credibility
- can work full-time
- excellent English communication skills
- excellent interpersonal skills
- ability to manage clients (entrepreneurial and excellent networker)
- able to influence at different levels in the organization
- good commercial and contractual understanding
