Hydraulic Structures Expert – Flood Mitigation Works (Project-based, Ecuador) 

For a flood mitigation infrastructure project in Ecuador, Haskoning is identifying a Hydraulic Structures Expert residing in Ecuador to participate on a project-based basis. 

What you will do as Hydraulic Structures Expert

You will lead the design of hydraulic mitigation works, ensuring technical robustness and constructability.

• Design definitive hydraulic mitigation structures
• Develop technically sound and feasible design solutions
• Coordinate with hydraulic and geotechnical specialists
• Support constructability and engineering decisions
• Prepare technical documentation and designs

Where you will work

This is a project-based role for professionals based in Ecuador, working within an international multidisciplinary team. 

What you bring

• You are a senior hydraulic engineer based in Ecuador, with strong design expertise in mitigation works. 
• University degree in Civil or Hydraulic Engineering 
• Completed master’s degree (required for maximum score) 
• Minimum 10 years of experience in design of hydraulic works 
• Proven experience in definitive designs of flood or debris mitigation works 
• Participation in up to 4 consultancy projects > USD 500,000 
• Proven participation in at least 1 consultancy project ≥ USD 1.6 million
